Our Operational Excellence Manager will play a critical role in driving sustainable continuous improvement efforts across the organization. This position involves developing a strategy plan for operational standards, including LEAN, Six Sigma, and Manufacturing KPIs. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing Six Sigma methodology, Lean Manufacturing Practices, and Kaizen Events in collaboration with leadership.

Responsibilities:

  1. Implement Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Drive sustainable continuous improvement efforts by implementing Six Sigma methodology, Lean Manufacturing Practices, and Kaizen Events in collaboration with leadership.
  2. Enhance Operational Performance: Implement quality, scrap, and MUV (Material Usage Variance) improvements using scalable DMAIC principles.
  3. Analyze Business Performance: Analyze statistical data on business performance to identify improvement opportunities.
  4. Collaborate with Plant Leadership: Collaborate with the plant leadership team to establish improvement goals and metrics.
  5. Develop Operational Excellence Plan: Work with managers to target areas for improvement and develop the Operational Excellence plan and overall framework (quantified opportunities, prioritization, etc.).
  6. Lead 5S Initiatives: Lead 5S initiatives by conducting regular audits and follow-ups to ensure sustainability.
  7. Manage Major Improvement Projects: Manage major improvement projects.
  8. Produce Technical Documents: Produce clear and concise technical documents, business process maps, standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, validation protocols, and process manuals for manufacturing.
  9. Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts: Collaborate closely with subject matter experts and technical teams to understand manufacturing processes, ensuring accurate and comprehensive documentation.
  10. Provide Training and Coaching: Provide training and coaching to plant personnel on various continuous improvement tools and initiatives.
  11. Conduct Post-Implementation Audits: Conduct post-implementation audits to ensure full implementation and sustained benefits.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (preferably in a technical field)

Lean certification: Six Sigma Green Belt or Black belt

Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience

Proficiency in Kaizen, Kanban, Problem Solving, 5S, Error Proofing, Team Development, Business process and Value-Stream Mapping, TPM, and other continuous improvement tools

Experience creating work instruction elements in Word

Strong attention to detail; strong personal organization, collaboration, and time management skills

Lean Manufacturing methodology knowledge and experience a plus

Salary Range: $125,000 - $140,000 per year
