Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Risk Analyst to join our team at Suncoast Credit Union. As a key member of our risk management team, you will be responsible for identifying and evaluating trends that may indicate rising risks, and providing recommendations to mitigate these risks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Risk Analysis: Perform ongoing analysis to identify and evaluate trends that may indicate rising risks, and provide recommendations to mitigate these risks.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Evaluate financial information and regulatory requirements to determine Suncoast's status against expectations.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Develop and produce enterprise key performance and key risk metrics to report to ERM management and relevant committees.
  • Strategic Recommendations: Develop analytics and recommend enterprise strategies to identify and mitigate the credit union's liquidity, capital, and interest rate risk.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with senior management to develop systems and strategies for financial risk management, and communicate complex data and analytics results to a business audience.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, computer science, risk management, or related field.
  • Experience: 8 or more years of data and financial analysis experience, preferably with a financial institution.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of capital, liquidity, interest rate risk, and other financial analyses, as well as experience with Python, VBA, Power BI, and shell scripting.
