We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Activity Assistant to join our team at Christian Care Retirement Community. As an Activity Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing a high-quality activity program for our residents, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement daily activity programs for residents, including group and individual activities, and ensure they are carried out in accordance with local, state, and federal standards.
  • Provide one-to-one activities to residents, including reading, games, and other engaging activities, and document participation and progress.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with residents, their families, and other staff members to ensure a positive and supportive environment.
  • Assist in developing and implementing care plans for residents, including identifying their needs and preferences.
  • Participate in resident and family council meetings, and report concerns and complaints to the Activity Director or Administrator.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident participation, one-to-one visits, and sensory stimulation responses.
Requirements
  • CNA certification is preferred but not required.
  • High school education or equivalent is preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Interest in activity programming for seniors and ability to work with residents with varying needs and abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and staff.
