Job Title: Environmental Scientist I

Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform environmental assessments and remediation projects related to petroleum and hazardous waste sites.
  • Conduct site investigations to support environmental projects, including the interpretation of environmental data and report writing.
  • Manage and analyze soil/groundwater data, including summary tables, results interpretation, and mapping.
  • Work collaboratively with experienced professional consultants to deliver exceptional results.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, geology, civil/chemical/environmental engineering, or a closely related field.
  • 0-5 years of experience in environmental consulting or a related field.
  • Ability to locate to the Birmingham metro area.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Teams.
  • Excellent task management, written, and verbal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively on multiple assignments.
Technical Requirements:
  • Ability to document field activities in detail.
  • Basic understanding of soil/groundwater sampling requirements.
  • Basic understanding of Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessment requirements.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
Other Miscellaneous Qualities:
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification.
  • Valid Driver's License and ability to pass Motor Vehicle Record and Drug Screening.
  • Follow safe work practices and adhere to company guidelines for planning and executing work in a safe manner.
