As an Environmental Engineer, you will play a critical role in protecting public health and the environment by overseeing regulations and permits governing air pollution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review permit applications, blueprints, and designs to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.
  • Apply scientific and mathematical principles to research and develop solutions to technical problems.
  • Plan and conduct field studies, surveys, research, and development projects to collect data and ensure conformance to state and federal laws.
  • Test and evaluate materials, equipment, systems, and facilities.
  • Develop cost estimates for project time and materials.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to technical staff.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, or Construction Engineering, or official notice of passing the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination in one of these fields.
