About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Operator III to join our team at Biamp Systems. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling electronic equipment according to written work instructions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fabricate or assemble electronic equipment according to written work instructions
  • Deliver material to point of consumption in response to Kanban signals
  • Flex to multiple work areas daily based on established patterns
  • Solve problems and dispositions nonconforming material
  • Respond to data to adjust pace of production lines
  • Accurately perform inventory transactions
  • Actively participate in daily Tier 1 Daily Management System (DMS) meetings
Additional Responsibilities
  • Assist with training other production personnel
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects
  • Keep work area well organized and clean
  • Additional duties as assigned by Supervisor
Requirements
  • 2 to 4 years of related work experience
  • Ability to work Monday through Thursday from 3:15 PM to 1:45 AM
  • Training in and experience with Lean manufacturing principles is preferred, but not required
  • Familiarity with computers and Windows-based applications
  • Ability to adjust work pace in response to daily production data
  • Possesses excellent verbal and written skills in English
  • Ability to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and diffuse challenging situations using acceptable and appropriate methods
  • Able to multi-task and be flexible in a dynamic work environment while maintaining strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • May be required to alternate schedules to meet production goals
  • Attendance is a critical function of this position
Work Environment
  • This is an onsite position based in Tigard, OR
  • Ability to lift 10 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. periodically
  • Stand or sit for long periods
  • Perform tasks (that may be repetitive) that require reaching, pushing, pulling, kneeling, walking, stooping, and/or bending
  • Work in an environment that generates OSHA permissible machine noise levels
  • Use tools that require fine hand skills
  • Visually, observe and differentiate small moving parts
  • Ability to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as required in designated areas
