Key Responsibilities for Lead Teacher for Preschool 2 Program:

Classroom Leadership: Oversee and direct a classroom of children aged 3-5, ensuring a safe, inviting, and enriching space for all.

Curriculum Design: Create and execute developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities that align with our educational objectives, promoting children's social, emotional, and cognitive growth.

Staff Supervision: Offer guidance and support to assistant teachers and aides, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.

Child Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate children's development, recognizing individual needs and crafting strategies to facilitate their progress.

Parent Engagement: Build strong relationships with parents and guardians, keeping them updated on their child's development and classroom experiences.

Team Collaboration: Work in partnership with other lead educators and center management to ensure the effective operation of the childcare program.

Classroom Management: Employ effective classroom management strategies to encourage positive behavior and resolve conflicts.

Safety and Compliance: Comply with all safety standards and licensing regulations, ensuring a clean and secure environment for the children.

Qualifications for Lead Teacher for Preschool 2 Program:

A Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related discipline is highly preferred.

An Associate's degree or 28 credits in early childhood education or relevant fields, such as art, psychology, sociology, or teaching, will also be considered.

A Child Development Associate (CDA) credential will be accepted in lieu of formal education.

A minimum of 2 years of experience in an early childhood education setting is preferred but not mandatory.

Strong understanding of child development theories, early childhood education principles, and best practices.

Proven ability to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.

A deep passion for early childhood education and a commitment to the growth and development of young learners.

Ability to inspire and motivate both staff and students to achieve their fullest potential.

Additional Information for Lead Teacher for Preschool 2 Program:

Compensation for this position ranges from $18.85/hour to $22.56/hour, based on experience and education. New hires can expect starting pay within the range of $18.85/hour to $20.65/hour, depending on qualifications.
