We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Project Engineer II/III Roadway Design to join our Transportation Design Group in Charlottesville, VA.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop project components using industry-standard software and AutoDesk Civil 3D technology.
- Conduct calculations and problem-solving using engineering formulas and computer-aided tools.
- Prepare specifications and materials through research and manufacturing catalogs.
- Collaborate on design details and plan sets.
- Conduct research and write objective summary reports.
- Assist in estimating engineering and construction costs.
- Perform field observations, inspections, and data collection as directed.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- At least two years of experience in transportation civil engineering related to roadway design.
- Proficiency in Bentley OpenRoads Designer is essential.
- AutoDesk Civil 3D proficiency is a plus.
- VDOT experience is preferred.
- EIT certification is preferred.
