Job Title: OSP Construction Inspector

Windstream is seeking a highly skilled OSP Construction Inspector to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for coordinating the design, permitting, material acquisition, construction, and tie-in of outside plant construction projects and programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor all aspects of the project and expedite or escalate as appropriate to achieve cost, quality, and schedule goals.
  • Make recommendations to management regarding ways to get the project back on track to meet cost, quality, and schedule goals.
  • Manage the post-sale end-to-end service delivery process of our SMB Fiber to the premise customer orders, including coordination with all resources required to ensure customer service is activated efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • Manage complex circuit installations via SMB Fiber to the premise delivery, working closely with internal departments while building strong relationships to ensure continuity of workflow and attainment of customer committed due dates and departmental goals.
Requirements:
  • Aptitude to learn quickly and adjust rapidly to developing business needs.
  • Excellent organizational, detail-oriented, time management, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong and effective technical communication skills, both verbally and written.
  • Ability to analyze problems and priorities and make decisions.
  • Ability to provide recommendations for process improvements.
  • Ability to be assertive and escalate with various internal departments and external teams as needed to maintain proper workflow for customer orders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CAD/E, Microstation, AutoCad, or other similar design programs experience.
  • Previous Outside Plant Construction Manager experience.
  • Experience with working with city, county, and/or State agencies.
  • Management of Contractor experience.
