At InterCommunity, we are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our residential care team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients.
Responsibilities:- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for clients in our residential programs.
- Perform regular observations and document client progress in our electronic health record system.
- Assist clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and medication management.
- Ensure clients receive all necessary medications and personal belongings upon discharge.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of individualized care plans.
- A current active CNA/MA certification for the State of Connecticut, Peer Support Specialist Certification, or a degree in a Human Services field.
- At least 3 years of experience working in a residential setting, preferably in a behavioral health or addiction services context.
