About the RoleThis is a highly scientific position that requires in-depth knowledge and expertise in molecular biology and yeast display technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for biologics lead discovery and engineering using the display library approach.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Build Display Libraries: Collaborate with structural and computational biologists to design and build naïve, immunized, and synthetic application-specific display libraries for antibody, cytokine, and TCR-based protein biotherapeutics.
- Lead Discovery and Optimization: Conduct selection campaigns to identify lead molecules against various targets, and evaluate scientific strategies to ensure successful delivery of yeast display discovery campaigns.
- Technical Expertise: Provide technical expertise and advice to team members, fostering an environment of continuous learning and growth.
- Technology Implementation: Continuously assess and implement new technologies into the existing workflow to inspire creativity and contribute to an innovative product portfolio with diverse modalities.
- PhD in Molecular Biology or Related Field: PhD in molecular biology, biological engineering, or related biological science disciplines with 2+ years of industrial experience in Biologics discovery function.
- Yeast Display Technology Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with yeast display technology and antibody lead discovery and optimization including affinity, potency, and developability enhancement.
- Molecular Biology and Flow Cytometry Skills: Proficiency in molecular biology (e.g., molecular cloning) and flow cytometry skills, including multi-parameter analysis and sorting.
- Antibody Structure and Function: Strong understanding of antibody structure, function, and engineering.
- Single B Cell Antibody Technology: Experience in single B cell antibody technology is highly preferred.
- NGS Antibody Library Output Analysis: Proficient in NGS antibody library output analysis.
- Protein Design and Modeling: Protein design and modeling experience using RoseTTAFold, AlphaFold, or equivalent.
