We are seeking a skilled Nurse Assistant to join our team at Northwell Health. As a Nurse Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care under the supervision of a registered professional nurse.
Key Responsibilities- Administer nursing care under direct supervision to assigned residents, ensuring their physical and mental comfort.
- Provide hygienic care to residents, including activities of daily living, and report any unusual conditions to the registered nurse.
- Prepare unit, resident rooms, and beds for receiving admissions, transfers, and emergencies, maintaining a safe and clean environment.
- Transport residents to and from units under the direction of the RN, adhering to transfer technique policies and procedures.
- Assist in and accompany residents during admission, discharge, and transfer procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Collect specimens, label them properly, and transport them to the designated area in a timely manner.
- Perform related duties as required, maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of a Nurse Assistant Program and certification by the New York State Department of Health.
- Minimum of one (1) year related experience.
The salary range for this position is $23.07-$25.40/hour. Northwell Health is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from diverse candidates.
