Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Holston Medical Group, PC. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic MRI scans, assisting radiologists and referring physicians, and ensuring exceptional patient care.

Main Responsibilities
  • Perform MRI cross-sectional imaging and other related procedures as directed by a licensed physician.
  • Operate and monitor MRI equipment, programming the machine to the proper voltage, current, and desired exposure time.
  • Explain testing procedures to patients and position them for the MRI test.
  • Monitor patients' conditions after and during the scan to ensure safety and comfort.
  • Administer contrast media accurately under the direction of a radiologist.
  • Enforce magnetic field safety for MRI patients, operators, and visitors.
  • Maintain patient logs, equipment service manuals, delivery schedules, and related statistics.
  • Deliver quality patient care and services in accordance with regulated standards.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience as a MRI Tech.
  • Completion of an AMA-approved two-year Radiology program with an AS degree in Radiology.
  • State License Required (preferred).
  • ARRT (MR) registered.
  • CT Experience (preferred, not required).
  • Graduates from a four-year program with a BS RT (preferred).
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certificate.

Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm. Perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature. Perform with frequent interruptions and/or distractions. Make appropriate job decisions following standard office policies and past precedents.

Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers and the public. Ability to interact appropriately with colleagues and patients for different purposes and different context. Constantly operates a computer or other large machinery.

Marginal: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 25% of the time. Medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds occasionally. Work independently and identify potentially more effective methods of work operations. Observing an area that can be seen up and down or to right or left while eyes are fixed on a given point. Ability to identify and distinguish colors.
