Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at Elliot Maternal Fetal Medicine. As a key member of our ultrasound department, you will be responsible for performing and interpreting diagnostic examinations using sonography, ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for examinations and explain procedures to patients while performing studies.
  • Correlate clinical history with the test to be performed.
  • Consult with referring physicians regarding patient history and decision of appropriate ultrasound procedure required.
  • Perform ultrasound studies for various conditions, including routine Ob/Gyn, high-risk Obstetrical scans, and fetal anatomy surveys.
  • Operate complex ultrasound equipment, including m-mode, Doppler, and real-time systems.
  • Select proper transducers and frequencies for performance of examinations.
  • Participate in reading sessions with physicians and contribute technical and professional knowledge to final diagnostic impressions or reports.
Requirements
  • Associates Degree or certification in a diagnostic medical sonography program required.
  • Two to three years of experience in OB/Gyn ultrasonography preferred.
  • Must be ARDMS certified in Ob/Gyn and NT.
Work Environment

This is a per diem position, working Monday through Friday. We offer a dynamic and supportive work environment, with opportunities for professional growth and development.
