Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant or CNA program is highly preferred.
  • Experience in medical financial reimbursement, billing, and collections is essential.
  • Familiarity with CPT and ICD10 coding is necessary.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate sound judgment is required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are a must.
  • Prior experience with PCs, scanning, faxing, and multi-line phone systems is essential.
  • Capability to utilize a blood pressure monitor and other medical equipment as needed.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a medical office, particularly in patient access roles involving medical billing/collections, is required.
  • Preferred: A minimum of two years of clinic coordinator or management experience in a medical setting.
  • CPR certification is required.
  • MA or CNA certification is highly preferred.
