At SoFi, we're revolutionizing personal finance with innovative, mobile-first technology. As a Director of Product Design, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the future of financial services.

The Opportunity

As a leader in our Research & Design organization, you'll oversee work across our suite of loan products, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive member experience. Your primary responsibility will be to define the design strategy for our Lending Product Suite, working closely with key partners to drive innovation and excellence.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a design strategy for our Lending Product Suite, aligning with business goals and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Business, Marketing & Ops teams to drive design decisions and ensure seamless execution.
  • Strategize with cross-functional leaders to prioritize roadmaps and ensure strong design practices from concept to launch.
  • Model strong communication skills, influencing diverse stakeholders and driving design excellence.
  • Leverage data and research investigations to build a strong point of view on product direction.
  • Collaborate with Research & Design Leaders to ensure a cohesive SoFi experience, beyond primary product & feature areas.
  • Spearhead critical efforts in process, craft, and execution, driving growth and innovation.
  • Mentor, inspire, and grow members of the Research & Design team.
What We're Looking For
  • 12+ years of experience shipping products and features from start to finish.
  • 5+ years leading teams of designers.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and passion for building a business.
  • Strong project planning, time management, and collaboration skills.
  • Able to deeply understand business goals and outcomes by leveraging data analytics, user testing, and research.
  • Expert in best practices in UX, design, and information architecture across responsive Web, iOS & Android.
  • Experience with current design tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.) and Agile development environments.
  • A portfolio URL or PDF to submit with the application, showcasing mobile and responsive web product design experience.
