Skyryse is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Flight Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our flight operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and success of our flight testing program.
Key Responsibilities- Support Flight Test Pilots: Collaborate with our flight test pilots to perform flight cards on newly developed or modified aircraft, assessing safety, performance, and reliability.
- Ground and Flight Testing: Support both ground and flight testing procedures in accordance with established test plans and safety protocols.
- System Familiarization: Learn the SkyOS system and become familiar with our proprietary fly-by-wire system.
- Test Planning and Coordination: Coordinate with flight test engineers and test pilots to develop test plans, test cards, and test procedures given requirements from the engineering team.
- Operational Readiness: Support operational readiness by participating in the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.
- Safety Hazard Identification: Assist in identifying, evaluating, and documenting any potential safety hazards during test flights.
- Post-Flight Debriefs: Participate in post-flight debriefs to discuss test results and identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Rotorcraft-Helicopter Commercial Pilot License: Hold a valid rotorcraft-helicopter commercial pilot license.
- Flight Experience: Possess at least 400 hours of flight experience in an R44, with over 100 flight hours in the last 12 months and 1000+ PIC total rotorcraft helicopter flight hours.
- Team Player: Demonstrate excellent communication skills and be a team player.
- Robinson Pilot Safety Course: Completion of the Robinson Pilot Safety Course.
- SFAR 73 Familiarity: Familiarity with SFAR 73.
- R66 Experience: Possess at least 25 hours of experience in an R66.
