Key Responsibilities:
- Nutritional Services Aides must demonstrate reliability and a commitment to providing outstanding meal service to our residents.
- Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: preparing food, serving residents, cleaning up after meals, and washing dishes.
- Maintain proper preparation and sanitation standards in the assigned kitchen area.
- Prepare both cold and hot food items according to dietary requirements and recipes.
- Assemble meal trays according to prescribed diets and serve in the dining area and tray line.
- Manage inventory and deliver prepared snacks to nursing unit pantries at scheduled times for resident use.
- Ensure safe handling of food at all times.
- Deliver and retrieve food carts to all nursing units during meal service.
Qualifications:
- Some high school education is required.
- Experience in a kitchen setting, particularly in healthcare, is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent customer service skills are essential.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and collaborate harmoniously with all staff members.
- Knowledge of food service techniques and sanitation practices is necessary.
- Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions is required.
- Covid-19 vaccinations are encouraged but NOT REQUIRED; we continue to provide COVID-19 vaccinations based on eligibility guidance from health authorities.
