About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and animal-loving individual to join our team as a Pet Care Specialist. As a key member of our Pet Care Center team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the health and well-being of our furry friends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a great experience for our guests by engaging with them and utilizing your acquired skills and training.
  • Assist guests in selecting the right merchandise for their pets, ensuring their needs are met.
  • Demonstrate a high level of interest in animal welfare, health, and proper handling.
  • Process transactions efficiently and effectively, creating a positive experience for each guest.
  • Build relationships with guests to generate future business and understand their pet's needs.
  • Support the Pet Care Center in achieving its sales goals.
  • Ensure merchandise is stocked, priced, and displayed attractively.
  • Complete training programs to maintain expertise in your role.
  • Adhere to operational guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Promote a positive culture of teamwork, inclusion, and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Ability to work successfully within a team.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Keen interest in animals and their care.
  • Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in sales, retail, or a related field.
  • High level of knowledge of pet nutrition and sales techniques.
Work Environment

The majority of job duties are conducted indoors, with occasional brief periods outside for merchandise receiving, carry-outs, or stock balancing.

This position requires bending, kneeling, moving merchandise, and standing for long periods. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and pull 2000 lbs using material handling equipment.

Follow all safety precautions and procedures. Must be available for shifts on evenings, weekends, and some overnights and holidays.
