Position Overview

The primary responsibility of this role is to manage environmental remediation initiatives. This position demands robust planning, sequencing, and personnel management capabilities to execute field construction projects within defined scopes, timelines, and budgets to fulfill contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee multiple project sites with minimal direct oversight, managing multidisciplinary tasks with essential scheduling elements.
  • Accountable for the implementation, supervision, and reinforcement of all health and safety protocols established by ERRG and our clients.
  • Direct field teams, equipment operators, laborers, and subcontractors in planning and executing tasks, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various construction phases to avoid delays and maintain project momentum.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of required field documentation on a daily basis.
  • Possess a strong understanding of construction methodologies and practices.
  • Ability to comprehend and identify contract stipulations and recognize potential changes or out-of-scope items.
  • Assist in the preparation of cost estimates with appropriate supporting documentation.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate scheduling conflicts.
  • Ensure daily operations align with budgetary and scheduling constraints.
  • Procure materials and negotiate with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Conduct initial accident investigations and develop necessary follow-up actions, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and health and safety stand-downs.
  • Participate in site assessments, request subcontractor quotes, prepare estimates, and assist in proposal submissions.
  • Utilize computer skills, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Identify and initiate improvements in operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with senior management to set both short-term and long-term objectives.
  • Assist in projecting completion costs and preparing change order documentation as required.
  • Responsible for the supervision and professional development of up to 10 direct reports.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to various project sites across multiple states as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8 years of experience in leading environmental cleanup, soil remediation, demolition/decontamination, or habitat restoration projects.
  • Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams in the execution of construction projects.
  • Completion of Supervisor Training.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER training and current 8-Hour HAZWOPER Refresher certification.
  • Experience with USACE/Department of Defense (DoD) contracts.
  • USACE Quality Control Training.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Training.
