Job Summary:
We are seeking 4 experienced Mental Health Support Specialists to work 6 hours, 5 days a week, at Oak Grove School District. This role offers a competitive salary of $70,000 per year.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about supporting students with intense behavioral needs. As a Mental Health Support Specialist, you will provide critical support to students, collaborate with teachers and other specialists to develop individualized behavior plans, and utilize positive reinforcement techniques to promote positive behavior.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide emotional support and guidance to students with intense behavioral needs

• Collaborate with teaching staff to create personalized behavior plans tailored to each student's unique needs

• Employ evidence-based strategies, including positive reinforcement techniques, to encourage positive behavior

• Establish strong relationships with parents and guardians to ensure consistency across home and school environments

Requirements:

• High school diploma and certification in special education or a related field

• Experience working with students with intense behavioral needs, preferably in a school setting
