Job Title: Facility MEP Drafter

Location: North Chicago, IL

Hire Type: Onsite, Long-term contract (may convert to direct-hire)

Target Pay Range: $40.00/hour (W2, with full employee benefits)

Job Summary:

The Facility MEP Drafter will provide design support using AutoCAD and Revit for project support, bid packages, and drawing control for pharmaceutical manufacturing facility design projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project teams and outside engineering firms to gather requirements.
  • Work with engineers to produce CAD drawings for facility piping, HVAC, electrical distribution, and related MEP systems.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and Revit tools to create designs, bid packages, construction, and as-built drawing documentation.
  • Review and adjust as-built AutoCAD or Revit designs, as needed.
  • Check design data into the drawing management system.
  • Develop process flow diagrams and one-line drawing updates for MEP systems.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of relevant design/drafting experience in an engineering or construction environment.
  • Proficient in CAD modeling using either AutoCAD and/or Revit.
  • Familiarity with facility process piping is preferred.
