Compensation and Benefits:
Earn a bonus of $150 at the end of your first week, plus an additional $300 after 30 days of employment. Enjoy competitive pay ranging from $15.75 to $16.25 per hour, along with excellent benefits in a family-oriented workplace.
Shift Details:
2nd Shift Hours: 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule of 4 days on and 3 days off, from 7 PM to 7:30 AM.
Role Purpose:
The Floor Assistant serves as a key support for the Shift Supervisor and Manager, overseeing a series of plastic injection molding machines to ensure efficient production operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Floor Duties- Set up production changes to align with customer specifications, including configuring brand plates and hot stamping machines.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and verify adherence to product work instructions by machine operators.
- Step in as a machine operator when necessary, particularly during breaks.
- Manage the startup and shutdown of all machines and associated systems in the work area.
- Troubleshoot basic machine and processing issues as they arise.
- Ensure work cells are adequately stocked with necessary components.
- Monitor material usage and confirm machines are operating within standard cycles.
- Review work orders and prepare setups for the incoming shift.
- Lead safety initiatives within the manufacturing area.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work environment.
- Complete all required production documentation accurately.
- Perform end-of-day tasks to ensure a smooth transition for the next shift.
- May be responsible for recording scrap or other performance metrics.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing setting is preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in injection molding is advantageous.
- Must successfully complete a forklift driving assessment and operate equipment safely.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and handle materials weighing up to 30 lbs regularly.
- Capable of reaching above shoulder level to access machine controls and supplies.
