Job Title: Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at Healthcare Staffing Plus. As a Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing complex echocardiographic examinations on pediatric and adult patients with various diseases. You will require insight into and interpretation of a wide variety of hemodynamic circumstances.

Responsibilities:

* Performs complex echocardiographic examinations on pediatric and adult patients with various diseases
* Requires insight into and interpretation of a wide variety of hemodynamic circumstances
* Exercises a high degree of skill and judgment and independent function
* Requires an understanding of the principles and methodology of ultrasound as well as the anatomy, physiology, surgical repair, and long-term sequelae of all forms of congenital and acquired heart disease
* Performs a variety of technical procedures in the application of high frequency ultrasound waves to patients for diagnostic purposes
* Demonstrates proficiency in complex transthoracic and stress echocardiography that is seen with structural heart disease and heart failure programs
* Examinations will be tailored to the questions being asked and the known sequelae of each disease process

Requirements:

* Associate's degree
* 10 years of progressively responsible experience as a Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer in a clinical or hospital environment
* Related laboratory and/or technical training with certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, or equivalent combination of clinical experience and training in sonography
* Must have RDCS certification

Preferred Qualifications:

* Working knowledge of congenital cardiology, cardiovascular hemodynamics, Doppler physics/instrumentation, and cardiac technologies
* Must be compliant with UR Radiation Safety Standards
