Position Overview

The Communication Specialist in Speech-Language Pathology plays a crucial role in evaluating and supporting program participants. This position involves assessing individual needs, educating both participants and team members, and ensuring thorough documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct evaluations and assessments of program participants.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals regarding Individualized Program Plans (IPP) and Individualized Education Programs (IEP).
  • Assist in departmental operations, including maintenance and supply management.
  • Participate in agency initiatives and support departmental orientation.
  • Facilitate equipment adaptation as necessary.

Program Focus

This special education program is grounded in applied behavior analysis strategies, aiming to enhance the quality of outcomes for our students. Our Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) are essential in:

Qualifications
