About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Multicraft Technician to join our team at Magna International. As a Multicraft Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting systems and performing preventive and predictive maintenance on various equipment, while prioritizing safety.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Follow and comply with all plant safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair various manufacturing equipment, including robots, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), controls, electrical, etc.
  • Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing processes
  • Communicate effectively with team members and other departments
  • Maintain integrity of safety devices, including light curtains, safety gates, barriers, etc.
  • Assist in design and installation of new/improved manufacturing equipment, components, and processes
  • Make modifications to existing equipment as required
  • Assist in determining spare parts requirements
  • Maintain accurate documentation
  • Train operators and new team members on fixtures, control panels, etc.
  • Assist team members with running lines/presses
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required; 2-year degree from a technical college or minimum of three years on-the-job training with heavy industrial manufacturing facility in skilled trade capacity
  • Journeyman Certification preferred
  • General knowledge of industrial maintenance with an emphasis on electrical, mechanical, robotics, or controls application
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in maintenance in a manufacturing environment
