About the Role

The Department of Justice is seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining our telecommunications systems, ensuring seamless communication across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain cellular, digital, radio, satellite, and analog communications systems for operational support technologies.
  • Implement secure information connection protocols and test devices prior to deployment.
  • Manage the development of program funding requirements for the budget and financial plans.
  • Develop and maintain systems to evaluate and monitor contractual performance.
  • Resolve difficulties, cost overruns, and anticipate need for future funding requirements.
  • Serve as a key advisor and expert in the initial phases of project development.
  • Manage technology, equipment, and software reliability and utilization.
Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must submit to a pre-employment drug test.
  • Employment is subject to the successful completion of a background investigation.

Qualifications

The Telecommunications Series, 0391, has an Individual Occupational Requirement (IOR), which must be met for this position in addition to the minimum qualification requirement.

  • Basic Requirement Education: Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- electrical or electronic engineering, mathematics, physics, public utilities, statistics, computer science, telecommunications management, information systems management, business administration, industrial management, or other fields related to the position to be filled.
  • Specialized Experience: Experience in evaluating, analyzing, developing, managing, or improving communications systems, procedures, and requirements that demonstrated knowledge of current developments and trends in communications concepts and technology.
