PennState Health is seeking a per diem pediatric nurse to join our team in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
Job Responsibilities- Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain accurate medical records.
- Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients, and advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions, and administer medications to patients while monitoring for reactions and side effects.
The Pediatric Intermediate Care Unit is a 18-26 bed mixed-acuity unit that cares for patients undergoing treatment in general pediatrics with a specialty focus on diabetes management, seasonal respiratory disease processes, pediatric pulmonology, pediatric cardiology, neurology, and pediatric cardiothoracic surgery.
Requirements- Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by the state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
- AHA BLS prior to end of orientation period.
- Two (2) years of experience.
