About the Opportunity

The City of Boynton Beach is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to lead the day-to-day operations of the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA). This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and make a meaningful impact on the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the implementation of redevelopment plans and strategies to revitalize the community
  • Manage and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including businesses, property owners, and community members
  • Develop and implement fiscal operations, policy making, capital project administration, and program management
  • Provide oversight and management of Federal/State Grant programs
  • Prepare and manage the annual CRA budget
  • Assist with the development of capital projects and track their economic impact
  • Make public presentations to the CRA Board, City Commission, and other organizations
  • Act as a technical advisor to the Community Redevelopment Agency Board and CRA Advisory Board
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in business, urban planning, finance, construction management, or related field
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in the public/private sector in a progressive city in real estate development, planning, project management, economic development, and/or any equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Affiliations or membership with trade associations, such as the Florida Planning Association, Urban Land Institute, or Florida Redevelopment Association, are a plus
  • Knowledge of public and private financing, debt financing mechanisms, professional services contracting, bidding procedures, and contract administration
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to effectively analyze issues and problems and identify optimum solutions
  • Ability to plan, organize, and implement duties and responsibilities defined by desired outcomes and objectives
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree
  • Professional certifications
  • Knowledge of economic development trends and techniques
  • Ability to use Windows-based word processing, electronic mail, spreadsheet, and database software
