About the JobThis is an exciting opportunity to join the MaineHealth team as a Patient Access Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating patient access services, including scheduling, registration, and admission.
You will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless transitions and exceptional patient experiences. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills will be essential in building trust and rapport with patients and their loved ones.
In addition to your technical skills and knowledge, you will need to possess excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to handle complex situations and make sound judgments.
Responsibilities- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
- Pre-register and register patients according to hospital policies and procedures
- Admit patients to the hospital and coordinate transfer of care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Provide exceptional customer service and respond to patient concerns
