Job Summary

SAIC is seeking a highly skilled Program Protection Systems Engineer to support advanced technology development and demonstration programs in support of resiliency spanning a diverse set of global threats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and test satellite technologies to ensure resilience against global threats.
  • Research and evaluate new emerging technologies for transition to space systems.
  • Manage, design, develop, and field new engineering demonstration units and technology demonstrations.
  • Advise customers on how to coordinate with internal and external community partners to identify technology gaps and design technology development plans.
  • Participate in program readiness and design reviews, ensuring R&D efforts are planned and conducted on a sound engineering basis.
  • Provide technical support to customer activities and programmatic processes, developing documents and briefings to communicate work or study status.
Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Physics (preferred) with 9 years of professional experience; OR Masters and 7 years of professional experience.
  • 5 or more years of related experience in a SETA or embedded integrator role.
  • Experience with the Intelligence Community and/or the Department of Defense.
  • Superb technical skills and experience related to space hardware, and satellite sensors and subsystems.
  • Ability to lead and be the primary point of contact for one or more projects.
  • Effective interpersonal skills (across multiple groups, offices, and organizations) and strong briefing and writing skills.
