Job Description

The Field Support Engineer is a critical role at OSIS, responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to drive mutually beneficial solutions and deliver exceptional client experiences. As an on-site technical expert, you will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing timely and effective support to resolve technical issues and ensure seamless service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their technical needs and preferences.
  • Provide on-site technical support to resolve hardware and software issues, including equipment installation and troubleshooting.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, site management, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate ticket resolution.
  • Escalate complex issues to the Service Desk Team Lead as needed and collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues.
  • Accurately document and track ticket status, time, and mileage.

Work Environment:

This is a full-time, on-site position that operates in an office setting. The role requires regular use of standard office equipment and technical hardware. The ability to lift computers and equipment, as well as occasional evening and weekend work, is required.

Travel:

This position requires 75% travel within a 2-hour radius of the position's home base.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in Computer Science or other IT expertise.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an IT Enterprise environment.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience troubleshooting hardware and software problems.
  • Hands-on experience with servers and basic networking experience.

Preferred Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other IT expertise.
  • 3+ years of experience in an IT Enterprise environment.
  • 3+ years of experience in IT in a Healthcare environment, including experience with EMR/PM software.
  • 3+ years' experience troubleshooting hardware and software problems.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange Server.
