The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cardiac nursing and demonstrate a proven ability to manage patients in a stepdown environment. It is essential to have experience with a 1:5 patient ratio, as this will be a critical aspect of the role.

Requirements
  • Experience with EPIC systems
  • Ability to pass an online EKG tele competency assessment
  • Certifications: BLS, NIH required; ACLS preferred
  • Proficient in IV starts
  • Minimum of 1.5 years of relevant experience

As a travel nurse, flexibility is key. You may be required to float to different units as needed, including high-risk respiratory units. Additionally, availability to work weekends and holidays is expected.

Unit Details

The Advanced Care Unit typically manages patients with conditions such as heart failure, chest pain, and COPD exacerbations. Nurses in this unit must be adept at administering IV medications and managing complex patient needs.
