The Logistics Yard Supervisor will oversee and manage all operational facets of the branch, collaborating closely with the Branch Manager and sales team to guarantee customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:
Directing and delegating daily tasks to the branch operations team

Recruiting, hiring, and training staff; planning, assigning, and supervising work

Ensuring inventory precision, completion of cycle count plans, and maintaining inventory integrity

Coordinating with external vendors for facility or equipment maintenance

Additional Responsibilities:
Manage payroll timekeeping and approve leave requests for direct reports

Assist operations teams in their daily tasks as needed

Engage with dedicated transportation providers, logistics companies, and staffing agencies

Utilize the company ERP system for operational transactions including pick lists, delivery documentation, purchase order receiving, cycle counts, scrap management, and work order processing

Oversee safety programs and forklift certification processes

Conduct daily inspections of all forklifts

Manage workflow in the gate shop, ensuring production quality and accurate documentation.

Provide strong leadership and foster a positive work environment

Collaborate with the branch sales team and branch manager to ensure customer satisfaction and timely order processing

Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory or management role within warehouse operations

Solid understanding of warehouse, yard, and delivery processes.

Proven leadership skills, positive attitude, urgency, and strong customer service focus

Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities (both verbal and written)

Commitment to pursuing higher education and continuous improvement

Strong inventory management capabilities

Proficient in ERP systems, MS Office Suite, and other web-based applications
