Human Resources Professional

New Horizons Village is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead our HR team. This role will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the HR department, including recruitment, onboarding, training & development, employee relations, employee engagement, and performance management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day HR support for all employees, including recruitment, onboarding, off-boarding, performance management, and reporting/analytics.
- Partner with leadership to support employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and practices.
- Mentor and provide guidance to employees related to career development.
- Oversee LOA processes, processing transactions and ensuring LOA pay information is provided to Payroll as well as educating employees on LOA processes and procedures.
- Respond to routine HR questions, including benefits, payroll, vacation or redirecting employees to appropriate contacts in a timely manner.
- Attend and participate in training courses pertinent to Human Resources as required.
- Assist in creating job descriptions for open positions and post open vacancies internally and externally. Process and manage people from recruitment through onboarding and beyond.
- Support department heads and staff as needed.
- Assist with audits and projects as requested.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Communications or related field required.
- Minimum of 3 years prior human resources experience in a healthcare setting; SNF/long-term care experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to confidentially maintain employee and company information.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and practices.
- Excellent computer skills, organization, and time management skills.
- Professional and strong communication skills and ability to manage difficult and sensitive situations.
- Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.
- Evidence of practicing high-level confidentiality.
Compensation:
We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, plus comprehensive benefits and a bonus structure based on individual and company performance.
