Job Summary:

Med Ninjas is seeking a dedicated and skilled Pediatric Critical Care Specialist to join our team. This is a permanent, full-time position that requires residency within the immediate local area.

About the Role:

  • We are looking for a board-certified Pediatric Intensivist to provide coverage to a 6-bed PICU.
  • You will be responsible for admissions and patient management, consultation with families and referring physicians, and working with local physicians/facilities on successfully accepting transfers into the hospital/unit.
  • The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care, and a passion for teaching and mentorship.
  • You will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care and contribute to the growth and development of our pediatric critical care program.
  • This role offers a unique opportunity to create a satisfying work/life balance, with a schedule that includes 7 days on, 7 days off, plus call from home shared with another Intensivist.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary range of $250,000 - $350,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

Requirements:

  • Board certification in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine (PCCM).
  • Eligibility to obtain or already hold a valid medical license in the state where the position is located.
  • Must pass Pediatric Critical Care Boards within 5 years of graduation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience working in a Level III Trauma Center is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs) and other healthcare technology systems is an asset.
