Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Neonatal Critical Care Unit (NICU) team at Doctors Hospital of Augusta. As a NICU Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care to critically ill newborns and their families.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage the care of critically ill newborns, including administering medications and nutrients, and providing life-sustaining care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and families to educate them on their child's condition, treatment options, and home-care procedures.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple patients simultaneously.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest NICU technologies and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with an Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification.
  • Experience working in a NICU or critical care setting preferred.
