Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Instrumentation Inspector to join our team at Automation Service. As an Instrumentation Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting completed Instrumentations, valve assemblies, components, and parts for cosmetic defects and order discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect products for cosmetic defects and order discrepancies
  • Produce nameplates/tags and install
  • Install all accessories required by order model number
  • Paint touch-up when required
  • Document all product rework for continuous improvement
  • Enter part shortages in our proprietary software to improve efficiency
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical school certificate a plus)
  • 1+ years mechanical experience in a production environment (machining, assembly, maintenance)
  • Ability to read and interpret product specifications
  • Use of basic measurement tools (rules, calipers)
  • General computer experience with ability to learn our proprietary manufacturing system
  • Ability to use various hand tools
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Excellent eye for detail and ability to make judgments regarding fit and finish of product

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to stand for 6- to 8 hours
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds without assistance
  • Working hours 6:00 am 2:30 pm
  • Overtime may be required on occasion
