Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at AccorHotel. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our guests, colleagues, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide security, emergency, and first aid assistance to guests and colleagues.
  • Implement and enforce all policies and procedures related to security services, as directed by the Security Manager.
  • Guide and support all leaders and colleagues with respect to safety and security procedures.
  • Educate all new colleagues on safety and security protocols.
  • Assist in the training of new security officers.
  • Create and maintain proper documentation on any incidents reported by guests or colleagues.
  • Ensure adherence to Lost and Found procedures, including accepting items with proper documentation, assisting colleagues and guests with inquiries, maintaining accurate logs, and following retention guidelines.
  • Investigate and follow up on any reports made by guests or colleagues.
  • Review the business continuity plan with the security manager and ensure that all updates are communicated to colleagues and that all necessary training is provided.
  • Conduct lock interrogations and assist the Engineering Department with lock repairs.
  • Conduct foot and vehicle patrols.
  • Conduct health screenings on colleagues and vendors in accordance with company and government guidelines.
  • Organize time so that all side work is completed according to shift demand.
  • Maintain an atmosphere of aloha spirit by providing engaging, personalized, timely, and efficient service to our discerning guests.
  • Focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
  • Promote and enforce health and safety awareness and have a complete understanding of emergency procedures.
Requirements:
  • Security, law enforcement, and/or loss prevention experience is an asset.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the English language.
  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
  • Must be service-oriented and capable of communicating effectively with persons involved in all levels of authority, both internally and externally.
  • Must possess basic computational ability.
  • Must possess computer skills, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, and email functions.
Licenses or Certificates:
  • State of Hawaii Guard Card.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification.
