Medical Claims Manager

Bethany for Children & Families, a leading provider of mental health services, is seeking a highly skilled Medical Claims Manager to join our team at Bridgeview Community Mental Health Center in Clinton, Iowa.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance billing and collections, with experience in supervising staff and ensuring efficient and accurate filing of claims. Additionally, the selected individual should possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders, including administrative staff, clinical personnel, and representatives from external organizations.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and direct office billing and receptionist staff, participating in interviewing and hiring processes, orienting, reviewing, counseling, and disciplining as needed.
- Evaluate and improve policies and procedures to minimize audit paybacks and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, compiling data and generating reports to support decision-making.
- Develop and implement best practices for scheduling, billing, and coding to optimize revenue collection and reduce risk.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on billing, coding, and other relevant topics to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to resolve issues and improve overall efficiency.
- High School diploma or equivalent required; some post-secondary education preferred.
- At least two years of experience in billing/accounts receivable, preferably in a medical or mental health setting.
- Strong knowledge of insurance billing/collections and familiarity with relevant regulations and laws.
- Proven supervisory experience and ability to motivate and lead a team.
We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, along with an attractive benefits package, including:
