Sampson Regional Medical Center is a leading healthcare provider seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Specialist to join its esteemed Laboratory Department.
About the Role
This exciting opportunity involves performing various complex laboratory tests on specimens to obtain critical data for diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct waived, moderately complex, and highly complex hematologic, chemical, immunohematologic, immunologic/serologic, microscopic, and microbiological tests on specimens.
- Analyze test results to provide accurate data for medical professionals to make informed decisions.
- Maintain quality control methods and lab equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Manage reports efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
- National certification as an MT/MLS/MLT by an approved agency (ASCP or AMT) is mandatory.
- Prior experience as a Lab Tech I or II is preferred.
- A Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science or an Associate's degree in laboratory science from an accredited institution with a successful clinical laboratory training program is required.
- In-depth knowledge of lab equipment, quality control methods, and report management is essential.
Salary and Benefits
We offer an attractive annual salary range of $53,000 - $63,000, commensurate with experience, to attract and retain top talent.
