Job Summary:
The Director of Social Services will be responsible for overseeing the social services department, ensuring that residents receive high-quality care and support. This includes:
- Overseeing resident referrals, admissions, and discharges
- Ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures to promote resident well-being
- Collaborating with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care
- Providing training and support to staff members
Responsibilities:
The Director of Social Services will be responsible for:
- Leadership: Providing strategic direction and oversight to the social services department
- Compliance: Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures
- Staff Development: Providing training and support to staff members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide high-quality care
- Resident Care: Ensuring that residents receive high-quality care and support, including referrals, admissions, and discharges
- Communication: Collaborating with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care and ensuring that residents and families are informed and engaged in the care process
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, the Director of Social Services must have:
- A license in Social Work in the state of Colorado
- Experience in social services, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations and facility policies and procedures
