Physician Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team at AltaStaff. As a Clinical Reviewer, you will be responsible for reviewing and making recommendations on consumer assessments for long term care services and supports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and validate assessment outcomes
- Maintain current knowledge of regulatory changes pertaining to quality and validity of assessments
- Assess cases presented and utilize clinical competencies to review and validate assessment outcomes
- Work collaboratively to monitor and address clinical quality and gaps in care
- Provide clinical and educational assistance to support project initiatives
- Demonstrate communication skills necessary to interpret age-specific responses
- Participate in performance, improvement, and quality assurance activities and related meetings
- Provide clinical and educational support to meet program goals
- Meet all standards established for this position as outlined in the corresponding annual performance criteria and bonus template for this position
Requirements:
- Current NY State Board Certified Physician Assistant Licensure
- Proof of Board of Certification
- Proof of Malpractice Insurance showing professional liability coverage of 1M per incident/3M agg
- 2+ years practicing experience as a Physician Assistant
- Computer literacy and the ability to navigate new and emerging technology
- Must meet BYOD requirements
- Highly developed written and oral communication skills; strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment with proven ability to work with community groups
Required Vaccinations and Records:
- Physical exam signed and dated by a physician within the last year
- PPD or QuantiFeron (within 1 year) or chest X-ray with Questionnaires (every 5 years)
- TDAP within 10 years
- Quantitative Titers for MMR & Varicella
- Hepatitis B vaccination schedule or Declination Form Also Accepted
- Proof of Covid19 Vaccine
- Proof of Flu Vaccine
