Position Overview:

As a key member of the Asset Management division at Churchill Real Estate, you will play a vital role in overseeing the entire portfolio of loans under management. Your primary objective will be to enhance performance and ensure that specialty serviced loans are managed effectively to optimize returns. The ideal candidate will possess a proactive mindset aimed at maximizing cash flows for both Churchill and its investors while minimizing losses through innovative recovery strategies. This position requires significant interaction with senior leadership, clients, product partners, legal counsel, lenders, and investors.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or Risk Management.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in monitoring business purpose loans and asset management, including surveillance and reporting.
  • Familiarity with third-party servicers in the business purpose lending sector.
  • Proven experience in addressing delinquent loans through diligent monitoring and proactive communication with lending partners, borrowers, and investors.
  • Experience in reviewing construction reports from third-party consultants is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Exceptional analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail and precision.
  • Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Vlookups, Xlookups, and Pivot Tables.
  • Familiarity with SQL is a plus, but not essential.
  • Engage in collaborative initiatives to enhance tools, technology, and methodologies to better serve a dynamic client base.
  • Willingness to work on-site is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure optimal performance of Churchill's loan portfolio.
  • Conduct active surveillance of the portfolio to monitor the performance of individual loans and properties.
  • Identify underperforming loans, devise monitoring strategies, and recommend loss-minimizing recovery actions.
  • Collaborate with internal and external lending partners, finance teams, and third-party servicers to fulfill routine and special loan management tasks.
  • Provide insightful analytics that highlight key servicing trends and communicate these insights to senior management.
  • Effectively manage Real Estate Owned (REO) properties and analyze the best strategies for asset disposition.
  • Maintain communication with third-party servicers regarding reporting updates and the resolution of servicing issues.
  • Work alongside internal Loan Origination and Structured Lending teams on loan performance matters and potential new loan opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver regular asset management reports with detailed notes for senior management and investors.
  • Establish and implement process improvements, best practices, and standard operating procedures.
  • Lead additional asset management projects and tasks as required.
