About the Role:

As a Registered Nurse in our PCU, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care to critically ill patients with neurological and cardiac conditions. You will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care and attention.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients with neurological and cardiac conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
  • Monitor and manage patient's condition, including vital signs, lab results, and medication administration
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
Requirements:
  • Diploma of Nursing or Associate Degree of Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
  • At least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a stepdown, progressive care, or intermediate care setting
  • Current Texas State RN license or compact license accepted
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support (AHA) upon hire required
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of hire required
  • CPI-Crisis Prevention Intervention training within 60 days of hire required
