Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Paint Line Manager to join our team at Bettcher Manufacturing, LLC. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the scheduling, coordination, and completion of all production activity associated with the Paint Line.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in paint, powder coating, or surface treatment management, with a proven ability to work independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement safe work practices for all paint line processes, including pre-treatment washers, dry off ovens, paint booth equipment, paint curing ovens, and all conveyance.
  • Guide and develop Paint Department personnel in the creation of and compliance with best practices (Standard Work).
  • Define and develop hang patterns that optimize the concentration of product in production space, ensuring effective transfer efficiencies.
  • Provide for the continued loading/hanging of manufactured product onto the paint line per defined standards in support of daily production goals.
  • Ensure the daily cleanliness and basic maintenance of the electrostatic paint system, including paint hooks, paint chain, and paint dogs.
  • Work as a liaison between the Company and its Powder Coat Supplier(s), optimizing material composition to meet productivity and quality goals.
  • Develop and implement Quality Control plans to ensure the composition and application of materials meet or exceed Customer and USPS standards.
  • Develop and execute effective Preventive Maintenance activities to optimize Paint Line Equipment availability, reducing mean time between failures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering, Business Operations, or similar fields.
  • 5+ years of paint, powder coating, or surface treatment management/operations/engineering experience.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees.
  • Highly detail-oriented, organized, structured, and proactive.

This position will be based in our Mission, Texas facility.
