Job Title: Adjunct Instructor of American Sign Language

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor of American Sign Language to join our team at Durham Technical Community College. As an Adjunct Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching American Sign Language courses, developing curriculum, and assessing student learning.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach American Sign Language courses to students of varying skill levels
  • Develop and implement curriculum that meets the needs of students and the college
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of American Sign Language programs
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in American Sign Language, Deaf Studies, or a related field
  • Native user of American Sign Language or ASLTA certification
  • Experience teaching American Sign Language at a university or community college
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in American Sign Language, Deaf Studies, or a related field
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment
