About the Role

Amedisys, a leading home health and hospice company, is seeking a skilled Hospice Liaison to join their team. This role requires a strong background in outside sales and business development within the healthcare industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Educate healthcare professionals, patients, and families about home care services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key referral sources, such as hospitals, nursing homes, and physician offices.
  • Coordinate patient admissions with the team, including obtaining required documentation.
  • Conduct on-site visits to assess patient needs and identify barriers to care.
  • Keep accurate records of patient interactions and referrals.
  • Achieve admissions, product, and payor-mix goals.
  • Meet short and long-term target account goals.
  • Document sales calls and maintain a complete record of targeted referral sources.
  • Attend community events to promote Amedisys.
  • Respond to customer complaints in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • At least one year of outside sales experience in a healthcare-related business development/outreach role.
  • A background in cold calling customers in pharmaceuticals, medical device sales, hospital, home health, hospice, or long-term care is preferred.
  • A bachelor's degree is preferred, but not required.
  • Reliable transportation, current driver's license, and liability insurance.
