Job Summary

The Clinical Specialist will oversee the provision of mental health and substance abuse services to clients of EMS of Virginia. This position is responsible for supervising a team of clinicians and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervision and Leadership: Provide guidance and oversight to a team of clinicians, ensuring the delivery of effective mental health and substance abuse services.
  • Service Delivery: Oversee the provision of services, including intensive in-home, mental health skill building, crisis stabilization, mobile crisis response, and CSA services.
  • Staff Management: Hire, train, and evaluate staff members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality services.
  • Program Development: Collaborate with the team to develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and statutes.
  • Client Care: Ensure that clients receive high-quality services, including regular assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Compliance: Oversee the management of client records and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Licensure: Must be licensed or licensed-eligible as an LPC or LCSW to provide clinical services in the State of Virginia.
  • Experience: Must have experience providing mental health and substance abuse services, as well as staff supervision and program development.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Must have a working knowledge of human services systems, roles of human services personnel, and relevant community resources.
