Job Summary:

To deliver high-quality physical therapy services, follow established treatment plans, and restore patients' function, prevent disability, and return them to their maximal potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver physical therapy treatments to patients of various ages, providing and progressing treatment according to treatment plans, physician orders, professional standards, and departmental protocols.
  • Teach patient care classes and groups for specific disorders, as per physician orders and departmental policies.
  • Communicate outcomes to evaluating therapists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Complete all chart documentation as outlined by Kaiser Permanente and State License requirements.
  • Demonstrate efficient workflow using time management skills, proficiently using computers and electronic tools.
  • Perform duties in a professional manner, demonstrating dependability, flexibility, and teamwork.
  • Maintain professional competency through continuing education, in-services, peer review, and self-evaluation.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology appropriate to PTA.
  • Successful completion of clinical internships.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
Additional Requirements:
  • Basic skills in PT procedures and treatment.
  • Use of modalities (US, electrical stimulation, traction, etc).
  • Documentation skills.
  • CPR certified.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • One (1) year of clinic experience in a comparable setting.
  • Knowledge base applicable to patient load at KSMC.
  • Skills in group dynamics, leading classes.
